Ana
Ana is a large Shellfolk swan figure, formed from layered white cockle shells, with a long curved neck and delicately shaped head. Her surface is richly textured, with overlapping shell patterns creating the impression of feathers. Her body (back wings) are a Tridacna clam shell pair, and she rests on an oval base with hints of blue beneath, suggesting shallow water. Her posture is graceful and slightly bowed, giving a sense of quiet elegance and introspection.
Swans are birds of the genus Cygnus, within the family Anatidae (which is where she gets her name Ana).

Bert
A small Shellfolk figure (9cm tall) with a mottled shell head patterned in warm browns and golds, as if shaped slowly by tide and time. A soft, sandy-coloured tuft sits atop the head, giving Bert a gentle, weathered appearance. He stands firmly on two broad clam shells that form solid feet, lending the figure a sense of strength and balance. Despite the weight of the shells, the posture feels steady and quietly graceful. In the story, Bert tends a small, overlooked patch of sea floor each day, patiently clearing and smoothing the sand. While others doubt anything will grow there, Bert continues his careful work, allowing the water to move naturally around him until new coral blossoms finally appear.

Cygnus
Cygnus is a small Shellfolk swan figure formed from pale, smooth shell material, with a long, gently curved neck and a compact, rounded body. His wings are suggested by a single ribbed shell that wraps neatly around his side, giving a sense of contained movement rather than flight. His beak is softly coloured, adding a quiet point of contrast to the otherwise muted tones. Cygnus stands on a natural, irregular base that resembles rock or coral, grounding his form close to the waterline. His posture is upright yet unforced, suggesting attentiveness to subtle changes and an ease with shifting position when needed. The overall impression is one of calm sensitivity and quiet self-awareness.
