Cash
Shellfolk No 025
Available for Adoption

Cash is a hanging Shellfolk figure made from warm-toned and white cowrie shells, suspended by fine threads from above. His body is rounded and compact, with a patterned cowrie shell torso and softly curved shell arms and legs that hang loosely, giving him a relaxed, unforced posture. He wears a simple skirt of natural fibres that falls lightly around his waist.
His head is formed from a small, speckled cowrie shell, with gentle, uneven eyes and a bright red mouth that give him an expressive but unassuming presence. A small tuft of dark fibre sits atop his head. Cowrie shells were historically used as currency, which gives him his name, Cash. His overall presence feels calm and observant, as though he notices small details and chooses carefully when to act.
